Rice prices ease in Nigeria as harvest supply improves

Local rice prices softened this week to an average of ₦82,000 per 50kg bag, down about 2.3% from the prior week, as fresh harvest volumes reached wholesale markets.

The easing offers modest relief on food costs, though prices remain well above year-ago levels.
